ProxyLink can send Wake-on-LAN magic packets to devices on the remote network through an active tunnel.

Setup

  1. Edit a proxy link and enter the device’s MAC address in the WoL field
  2. Save — a Wake button appears on the proxy link row

Using Wake-on-LAN

Click the Wake button. ProxyLink sends a UDP broadcast magic packet through the WireGuard tunnel to the device’s subnet. The device powers on within a few seconds (if WoL is enabled in BIOS and the network adapter supports it).

Requirements

  • An active tunnel connected to the device’s network
  • Wake-on-LAN enabled in the device’s BIOS
  • The network adapter configured to accept WoL packets
  • The device connected via Ethernet (WoL over WiFi is rarely supported)
